The city recently hosted two visiting city clerks; Chris from Delmar and Cynthia from Fairfax. The Delmar City Clerk had reached out to Wyoming City Hall after seeing pictures on the city website, the clerks were impressed with our downtown and the number of active businesses we have listed on our website including the Wyoming Museum and Calkins Square. The clerks wanted to know how Wyoming stayed successful and thriving! We invited them for a tour of Wyoming, we walked the downtown area and toured the Museum (Thank you Jim Eichhorn). When asked how the community of Wyoming stayed successful and thriving, we got to brag about our schools, active committees, and great citizens!
Each Month the city will highlight a committee or citizen that has helped improve our community! Our first is the Wyoming Area Betterment Committee we are thankful for all you have done for our community! We have included the impressive list of projects Wyoming Area Betterment has contributed to.

Christmas City Celebration, Town Wide Garage Sales, Food stand at Wyoming Fair (Friday night), Easter Egg Hunt, fund-raising card parties, Playground equipment at Wyoming Fairground, Electricity at new pole building at Wyoming Fairground, New bathrooms at Wyoming Fairground, National Night Out, Midway Park Gazebo, Midway Park bench and signs in memory of Shirley Jones, Midway Park flags, Senior Dining, Main Street railing buntings, Memorial Hall kitchen updates; sinks, faucets, countertop and new gas stove, Summer discovery Camp, Post Prom, New front windows in the Wyoming Museum Post Office building, Lighting and flooring updates at the Wyoming Library, Paving for the cemetery driveway, Jones County K9 fund.
